I purchased “The Return of Captain John Emmett” by Elizabeth Speller as an Audible book for my Kindle. I wasn’t sure what to expect because this is a new author to me, and also the narrator of the audible book was one I had never listened to. The experience . So, I decided to first read the original book, The Return of Captain John Emmett. Wonderful surprise and an introduction to a new novelist to file in my "must reads". Of course, I have to admit I am partial to British mysteries placed in historical settings. One refreshing experience with this book is that it is not a police/detective novel/5().
